Established in 2008 by conservationist, safari expert, and private guide Martin Meyer, Martin Meyer Safaris offers bespoke and seamless safaris throughout Southern & East Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.

HOW WE WORK

We believe in getting to know our travelers, each person is unique and we believe that this should be celebrated! There is so much information in the public space about which lodges, or locations are the best, but honestly there is no one size fits all model; which is why we offer our guests a complimentary one hour safari consultation. This allows us to get to know you, brainstorm an itinerary outline and start figuring out what would be the best fit for you.

You are then matched with a dedicated safari specialist that is on hand to curate your journey. Your safari specialist will put together a digital web-based itinerary for you with all the information that is relevant to your specific vacation - eliminating all the white noise of the internet. Once you have received your quotation we are on hand to adjust as you see fit until you are 100% satisfied.

Managing Director

The Big Kahuna! Martin's passion for travel, wildlife and conservation is unrivaled. His biggest thrill is sharing this continent of ours with his guests.

Having worked as a private guide in both Southern and East Africa, Martin is a fountain of knowledge on all things Safari. Martin's love of fine wine, spirit of adventure and wanderlust make any trip he is on one to remember for years to come.

As an avid conservationist and active member of a number of Anti-Poaching teams, Martin's camp fire stories are the stuff legends are made of!

Antje

Reservations & Ops Director

The Juggler! Antje manages the Reservations, Operations and Product Teams with an iron fist. She likes to think of herself as a professional Gin Drinker, provided the Gin is served in a remote location.

Her quirky personality has always stood her in good stead and she has been lucky enough to work alongside Companies such as National Geographic, Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel.

Antje uses any excuse to travel, and she has been fortunate to be welcomed at all the lodges & hotels we use, and in some instances welcomed back!

Nick

Birding & Photography Expert

The Happy Snapper! Our birding and photography expert, Nick is almost always somewhere in the wilds in search of an arbitrary bird that we have never heard of, tracking elephants or behind his super big camera lens. When he is not traveling to further his knowledge, he is at his happiest guiding guests across the continent, and sharing his passion (and snobbery) for coffee.

Marco

Head Guide - Cape Town

The go to Guy! Marco is our go to guy for everything along the Cape Coast, as our Head Private Guide in the region, he constantly has his finger on the pulse and his ear to the ground, giving our guests access to the most incredible locations and experiences! A Foodie and wine expert, Marco will ensure your time in the Mother City will never be forgotten!

Ryan

Safari Expert

The Talker! Ryans passion for wildlife and travel is contagious. He shares this passion with all of his clients and ensures that they get more than they bargained for in terms of unique experiences in remote locations; but we will let him tell you all about it, in detail.

Office Expert

The Quiet one! Llenah is the quiet in the storm that is travel. She ensures the team is always looked after, and that things run smoothly in the Martin Meyer Safaris office. She is responsible for all things admin-related and her beautiful welcome notes have become legendary.
