Your first night in Johannesburg give you time to recover from the international flight. Meet Martin & Antje and get to know your fellow travellers.
Karongwe Private Game Reserve - Greater Kruger National Park
Karongwe offers the possibility of photographing lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffalo, alongside giraffes, antelope and birdlife. Look for the curve of an elephant’s trunk, the expression of a resting lion or a giraffe framed against the sky. A striking photograph may come from a grand encounter or an easily overlooked detail.
Four nights at Becks give you successive outings to develop your approach. Experiment with an environmental portrait, practise following movement or take the time to consider what belongs in the background. City Photography: Table Mountain, Bo-Kaap and Street Art
Our city day brings together Table Mountain, Bo-Kaap and a graffiti walking tour.
Weather permitting, Table Mountain introduces the city on a magnificent scale: buildings, coastline and distant ridges arranged beneath you. It is a chance to work with layers, space and the relationship between the city and its extraordinary setting.
In Bo-Kaap, the attention shifts to bold colour, cobbled streets and architectural detail. This is a living neighbourhood with a rich Cape Malay heritage, best explored with curiosity and respect for the people who call it home.
The graffiti walking tour adds another creative dimension. Look for patterns, contrasts and the relationship between an artwork and the street around it. The same city that fills a panoramic frame can be equally compelling in a close-up.
Cape Peninsula Photography: Cape Point, Boulders and Misty Cliffs
The Peninsula day is made for photographers who love the meeting of land and sea. Cape Point offers dramatic headlands and expansive ocean views, while Misty Cliffs invites you to explore the mood of the Atlantic coast: surf, shoreline and the changing relationship between water and sky.
At Boulders, African penguins bring wildlife back into the frame. Watch their movements, interactions and distinctive shapes, then step back photographically to include the coastal setting around them. The penguin viewing area and boardwalks provide ways to observe the colony while respecting its space.
Across the day, the challenge is wonderfully varied: convey the scale of a headland, follow a penguin’s movement or simplify a seascape into colour, line and texture.
Cape Winelands: Vineyard Views and Three Tastings
Our full-day Winelands excursion combines three wine tastings with time to appreciate the scenery and character of the estates we visit.
Vineyard rows invite you to work with leading lines. Mountain backdrops give depth to wider compositions, while gardens, architecture and table details offer smaller stories. There is as much pleasure in noticing the light through a wine glass as there is in photographing an expansive view.

Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is a place you feel as well as see. The sound builds, spray rises above the gorge and glimpses of falling water reveal the extraordinary scale of the landscape.
March typically falls within the high-water period, when the Zambezi can produce a spectacular curtain of water and towering spray. Conditions vary with rainfall, but this is a season associated with the Falls’ power and drama.

Are the Safari Vehicles Private?
Yes. The safari vehicles are reserved exclusively for the Martin Meyer Safaris group and are not shared with unrelated lodge guests.
The vehicles are private to the group rather than to each individual couple or traveller. This provides more space, greater flexibility and better control over positioning and time spent at wildlife sightings.
Is the March 2027 Departure Guaranteed?
The journey requires a maximum of six confirmed travellers to operate. Martin or Antje will explain the current booking status before you pay a deposit or commit to international flights.
Are International Flights Included in the Safari Price?
No. International flights to and from South Africa are not included in the published safari price.
The scheduled commercial flights in country are included. Martin Meyer Safaris can advise on the most suitable international arrival and departure arrangements.
Is Travel Insurance Compulsory?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and should cover cancellation, interruption, medical treatment, lost luggage and emergency evacuation.
